Rainbow Readathon TBR!

Untitled design

(I spent like an hour trying to align those little book covers, so please don’t diss me about how pixel-y it is. I just really suck, I will sign up for free graphic design courses eventually)

So Rainbow Readathon is “a readathon from June 1 to June 30, where we read books with prominent queer characters based on their cover colors.” (click here for more accurate info). Also, I first saw this readathon on Aelin’s Kingdom, head over to her blog for more readathons! (she’s doing 4! O_O))

Red, White & Royal Blue

PINK: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Yes, I’m one of those rare dumb people who hasn’t read this book yet BUT NO MORE. I don’t know much about this book except the blurb- “What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?”. Can’t wait to read all about the royalty and how they pillaged and massacred their colonies.

OTHER (Just like glue and the inside of glue bottles, I’m bad at sticking to TBRs, hence options): Queens Of Geek by Jen Wilde

When We Were Magic

RED: When We Were Magic by Sarah Gailey

There’s magic, witches and murder? I’m sold. The book cover is giving me Taylor Swift Bad Blood music video vibes and I’m here for it.

OTHER: Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Marie McLemore, Patron Saints of Nothing Randy Ribay

The Priory of the Orange Tree

ORANGE: The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

Do I get bonus points for orange being in the title as well? This is a thicc boi but I really miss dragons (I hope there’s actually dragons and the book cover is not just clickbait)

OTHER: Darius the Great is Not Okay by Adib Khorram, I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman

Now Entering Addamsville

YELLOW: Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia

I read Eliza and Her Monsters and it wasn’t my favourite but I have high hopes for this one *fingers crossed*.

OTHER: Late to the Party by Kelly Quindlen, Infinity Son by Adam Silvera, Mooncakes by  Suzanne Walker

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

GREEN: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I haven’t read this book yet either, feel free to throw tomatoes at me. I’ve said I’d read this for months now but I stg if I don’t read it this month I’ll delete my blog.

OTHER: Nimona by Kelly Quindlen, The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

TURQUOISE: Radio Silence by Alice OsemanBuy Radio Silence Book Online at Low Prices in India | Radio ...

I know absolutely nothing about this book except it’s apparently ever book blogger’s favourite book and I should read this asap or gtfo this planet. (This book also has multiple covers so it can come under Indigo, Violet or Multicolored which is a sneak move but I need all the help I can get, don’t sue).

OTHER: In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan, Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli.

The Fever King (Feverwake, #1)

INDIGO: The Fever King by Victoria Lee

I’ve seen mixed reviews for this book from some of my favourite book bloggers so I’m not sure what to expect from this. Oh I know it’s about technopaths, which reminds me of the evil girl from Sky High.

OTHER: They Both Die In the End by Adam Silvera, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

VIOLET: The Disasters by M.K. EnglandThe Disasters

I totally did in fact judge a book by the cover. That’s literally the only reason I picked this, it looks cool. I’m superficial and shallow, are you happy now?

OTHER: Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan, Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

The Summer of Jordi Pérez (And the Best Burger in Los Ángeles)

MULTICOLOUR: The Summer of Jordi Pérez (And the Best Burger in Los Ángeles) by Amy Spalding

I hate this cover so much (covers with real life people with real faces usually suck) but I needed more fluffy YA because I can’t do intense, sad, dark vibes right now, there’s already a lot of that in the real world.

OTHER: We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia

Are you partaking in any readathons this month? Have you read any of these books? Did I pick wrong?(just like every other profound life decision I have made so far)
